PPA129 - Sketch Challenge

The Pals Paper Arts Challenge 129 is to create a card based on the following sketch by Margaret Moody. I created a two cards using a stamp by LeBlanche. My colors were inspired by the colors used by Mary Fish on her card: Rose Red, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand.

My entry for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club (#59).

Use It Tuesday Challenge #25 - Birthday Themed Project

The following card was created for the Use It Tuesday Challenge #25. The following items were things in my stash that I had not yet opened or used: The cloud die-namics, the ribbon, and the sentiment stamp from MFT. The polka dots are from the new Tim Holtz Mixed Media stamp set.

The inspiration for this card can be found in the August 2011 issue of Cards magazine. The inspiration card was created by Wendy Sue Anderson. Her blog can be found at www.wendysueanderson.blogspot.com

Stamps: Tim Holtz (polka dots), MFT (sentiment), SP & Company (stitched lines)
Ink: Stampin' Up (Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze), Staz On (London Fog)
Dies: MFT (cloud), Stampin' Up (butterfly)

SP & Company SWS Challenge #7 - Love Theme

This week's challenge over at the SP Stamps Blog is to use your SP Stamps to create a scrapbook layout, card, or 3D project with a "LOVE" theme. The card I created below was for my husband on our first Valentine's Day as a married couple.

I used the Swirly Doo Valentine Stamp Set from SP& Company and really liked how the stamp on the inside of the card mimicked the strip of patterned paper on the front of this card.

The small circle embellishment was included in the paper pad as a punch out. I embellished the center with rhinestones and popped it up with pop dots to give it some dimension.

Stamps: Swirly Doo Valentine's (SP & Company)
Paper: Shaken Not Stirred 6x6 paper pad (Kaisercraft)
Ink: Memento
Rhinestones: Recollections

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club (MFTWSC58)

With Valentine's Day just a few days away, I am drawn to all the pink and red goodness in the Martha Stewart Valentine's Mat Stack. They were perfect for the card I created for this weeks MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #58 Challenge (MFTWSC58).

Did I mention I love these papers? I had to make a second card.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Clean and Simple Cards (Impress Rubber Stamps)

I stumbled across Impress Rubber Stamps when I first got the stamping itch. I fell in love with these wood mounted rubber stamps. I had been neglecting them, so I thought I would play a little making some simple one layer cards.

Roxy's Cardmaking Inspiration Week 3 - A New LIttle Someone

Roxy (YouTube: Roxyfur) is having a weekly challenge where she chooses an inspiration card and then creates her own version. I thought it would be fun to play along with her week 3 challenge. I chose the same card that Roxy used, a card by Vanessa Menhorn featured on page 148 of the  January 2012 issue of Cards magazine.

I've posted a few pictures of the cards I created, along with a link to the YouTube video which includes more information on the supplies I used. Thanks for stopping by!

SP & Company SWS Challenge #5: Rock n Roll

Happy Friday! This has been a long week with many hours spent at work, so I was very happy to have a little time this Friday evening when I got home from work to create a card. I knew I wanted to try the Rock n Roll for the SWS challenge. This was a new techniqe to me. I had a completely different card in mind, but this is what I ended up with. I love when that happens. This was a very simple one layer card. I love these hearts from the SP & Company Artsy Heartsy stamp set. This was my first time using them and I can't wait for more opportunities to play with them. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: SP & Company
Ink: Baja Breeze and Night of Navy (Stampin' Up)
Paper: Naturals White (Stampin' Up)
