Halloween Card Based on Retrosketch (Using Scraps and Leftovers)

There's nothing like completing a card just in the nick of time. I absolutely love this week's sketch challenge over at Retrosketches! I just had to play along. With company here this weekend, I finally had a little time to myself this evening and ran down to my craftroom to throw together a card. I had an extra Lawn Fawn Pumpkin colored with distress markers from my last card. From there I went digging through my scrap drawer for fall or halloween papers and Voila...my quick little card!

I am also entering this card in the Anything Goes Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Distress Maniacs and a Dotty Challenge

With the hot and humid weather we are experiencing here in Minnesota, I am ready for a little fall weather! Lawnscaping Challenge #64 encourages us to get our distress on. I decided it was time to get out my distress markers and color up those adorable little Lawn Fawn pumpkins! I also recently purchased this lifestyle crafts polka dot embossing folder, which fits perfectly with this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Dotty.

I first stamped the pumpkin image on watercolor paper. I then colored the pumpkins with my rusty hinge and spiced marmalade distress markers. Then I used a water color brush, and voila! What do you think? Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Sketch Challenge: Back To School Style

Whew! It doesn't feel like it's fall here with the heat we have been experiencing. I feel bad for all the teachers and students who are back in class in this heat without air conditioning. The minute I saw this week's Sketch Challenge over at MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club, I had a card in mind. I added the Back to School theme to play along with Simon Says Stamp's themed challenge this week. Thanks for stopping by.

So Proud of You! Back to School Card

I was so excited to finally sit down this evening and create a card for this week's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, especially since they are celebrating their 100th Challenge!! (Handwashing all of our dishes earlier this evening due to a malfunctioning dishwasher was NOT what I wanted to be doing.) I loved this sketch and decided to add a back to school theme to it to also play along with this week's Simon Says Stamp Back to School Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Shine Brightly: Another card for this week's CAS-ual Friday

Today I received my Verve order and couldn't resist making another card using the fun colors in this week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge: CFC112 aqua, green and orange. Thanks for stopping by!

I created the starry background using a Verve die cut, gluing all the stars on the background. The layout for this card was inspired by a card created by Julee Tilman

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge = PPA168

I had a productive day of cardmaking today, but wanted to get in just one more challenge. I always love to peak at the Pals Paper Arts site for inspiration, but do not always get a chance to play along. I was happy to be able to create a card for this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. I started with a much different card in mind, but the flowers I cut on my silhouette were not working for me. Instead I used MFT die cuts that I had cut out from scraps over the Christmas holiday. I like how the blue looked with the black and cream background. I was also happy to ink up a Hero Arts stamp set that I had not used. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Baby Thank You Note

We have been blessed with some many wonderful baby gifts, so I continue making baby themed thank you notes. Obviously I cannot get enough of this week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge#99 and the CAS-ual Fridays: CFC112 color combo of aqua, green and orange.

Stamps: WPlus9 and SP&Company
Paper/Inks: Stampin' Up Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, and Wild Wasabi

Anchor Thank You Note

My Silhouette Anchor card was inspired by the following Challenges:

Masculine Birthday Card

I was inspired by three difference challenges to create the following card:

Simon Says Stamp: Monochromatic
Freshly Made Sketches #99
10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge #23 Birthday Theme I was able to complete in 9 minutes, 37 seconds. I'm still getting the swing of using my Silhouette!

Please see below for More information regarding these fabulous Challenges! I created the card using my using my Silhouette Cameo and a stamp from Paper Smooches.

10 Minute Craft Dash: Birthday Theme Challenge #23

Paulina over at the Pretty Pink Posh is celebrating the one year anniversary of the first 10 minute craft dash challenge. I was inspired by all of the wonderful inspiration over there to give the birthday themed challenge a try. I have posted below my card and my time. Below that, I posted the first card I created that was not a success.

If you follow Kristina Werner, you'll recognize the layout is based on a recent card she created for Simon Says Stamp.
