MFT Have Hope - Sketch Challenge

Another card using the adorable Have Hope stamp set from My Favorite Things. I used the Wednesday Sketch for this one. I can't get enough of her! I am planning to make a similar version for the Hope You Can Cling To Card Drive over at Split Coast Stampers.

Have Hope

More MFT goodness. I made the following card using the MFT Pure Innocence Have Hope stamp set. She is so adorable. The patterned papers are from the DCWV Mademoiselle paper stack.

Fall is in the air!

I cannot get enough of this stamp from MFT and I love pairing her with the My Minds Eye Stella Rose Mabel papers. It has started to cool down here in Minnesota and the leaves are dropping like crazy.

Paper Pals Arts Challenge - PPA115

I created the following card for the Paper Pals Arts Challenge to create a fall themed card - Thanksgiving, autumn, harvest or Halloween. I used this MFT stamp for the first time and I am IN LOVE. I also finally cut into one of My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pads (Stella Rose - Mabel) that I had been hoarding. Love this paper. I also tried my hand at paper piecing for the firs time on her little turtle neck. This stamp is perfect for that.

Use It Tuesday and Top Tip Tuesday Challenges

The card below was created for two different challenges:

The first was the Use It Tuesday Challenge. This required that we make a project that has something metal on it. The other requirement is that we use something from our stash! This was perfect for me. I have so many brads and so many colors! It was the perfect opportunity to dig in and use them on this card. It's so nice to have supplies on hand, but I find often there are so many different products in my stash I don't know where to begin. Challenges are a great way to provide a focus.

The second challenge was the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, which was to use patterned paper. The paper I used is from the Authentique Glowing paper line...If you've seen some of my past blog post, I'm sure this is no surprise.

**TOP TIP**
I keep a basket of pre-folded A2 card bases in my most used colors (crumb cake, chocolate chip, black, etc) on my craft desk. I also include some other colors depending on the season. For example, right now I have some oranges for Halloween, some reds and greens for Christmas. It really helps jumpstart my cardmaking process!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #40

Another Halloween card made using Crafty Secrets and Authentique. I followed the MFT Sketch below. I really love using sketches for inspiration. I wish I had added a little twine to the button to make it pop.

Halloween Card - More Crafty Secrets and Authentique

I am really loving the Crafty Secrets Costume Cuties stamp set and playing with my copics. I made this card for the Scrapmaster's Paradise October Blog Hop Challenge - Use the color orange in your project.

September 2011 Collection Kit - SP & Company

I received my monthly subscription kit for September 2011 from SP & Company. The kit included the Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas Paper 12x12 papers and the SP & Company Christmas Medley stamp set. I have included links below. I absolutely love the little Penguin in this stamp set. I created the card below with the stamp set and Echo Park papers. I embossed the penguin with black embossing powder and colored it in with my copics. I have had no training with my copics, so I'm excited to play with these a bit. I have a lot to learn about how to blend with them, but still like how my penguin turned out.

Hometown Summer Card for Summer Online Card Camp Week 4

I made another card using colors from the Color Combo for week four of the Summer Online Card Camp 2011 with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire. I love this stamp set from Pink Paislee. The little boy is adorable. This is the first time I've had a chance to play with this stamp set and look forward to using it more.

Another Bonus Color Combo Card for Summer Online Card Camp 2011

Here is another card I made for the Summer Online Card Camp using this Bonus Color Combo. I think I like this card better than the one I made earlier using the same materials.

Bonus Color Combo - Summer Online Card Camp Week 4

Each Friday Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner provide additional bonus color combos that you can use to create cards. This is the color combo I selected for the card below.

I love these colors. The card I created is very simple and uses not only scrap patterned paper, but I also used the strap from a cameo I was going to discard as ribbon.

Summer Online Card Camp Week 4

It is the last week of Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Summer Online Card Camp. The color combo for this week included green, teal, turquoise, sky blue and white.

I created the following card for this week's color challenge. Supplies are listed below.

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 2 Card 3

A third card I made for the Summer Online Card Camp 2011 by Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire. This card was made using cardstock I had previously stamped and other scraps. This idea/design came from a video from Kristina Werner, which I will post below. Thanks for stopping by, please comment.

Stamps: Hero Arts
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink, Stampin' Up
Inks: Papertrey Ink, Stampin' Up

Please see below for Kristina Werner's fabulous video.

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 2 Card 2

I wanted to post the second card I made for Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Summer Online Card Camp 2011 Week 2 Color Combo Challenge. I posted the color combo in my earlier post. This card wasn't quite coming together the way I had imagined. I stamped the Kaisercraft musical score in different colors on a piece of white cardstock. Then I used the Stampin' Up Medallion in clear embossing powder. I distressed the background with Tim Holtz distress ink. The background paper is from the DCWV Lemon Flower paper stack. I used a scrap piece of white satin ribbon from Stampin' Up and colored it with the new in Color Lucky Limeade. The flower was made using the Stampin' Up Manhattan flower and embossing with white embossing powder. I colored with Smooch spritz. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 2 Color Combo Challenge and Faux Bleach Technique

I created the following card for Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner's online card camp. This week's color combo is below.

For the background I used a Faux Bleach technique that I learned from Laurel on her Ustream channel (LaurelfromNJ). Please see my YouTube video for more details on this technique.
