PPA129 - Sketch Challenge

The Pals Paper Arts Challenge 129 is to create a card based on the following sketch by Margaret Moody. I created a two cards using a stamp by LeBlanche. My colors were inspired by the colors used by Mary Fish on her card: Rose Red, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand.

The inspiration for this card can be found in the August 2011 issue of Cards magazine. The inspiration card was created by Wendy Sue Anderson. Her blog can be found at www.wendysueanderson.blogspot.com

Clean and Simple Cards (Impress Rubber Stamps)

I stumbled across Impress Rubber Stamps when I first got the stamping itch. I fell in love with these wood mounted rubber stamps. I had been neglecting them, so I thought I would play a little making some simple one layer cards.

SP & Company SWS Challenge #5: Rock n Roll

Happy Friday! This has been a long week with many hours spent at work, so I was very happy to have a little time this Friday evening when I got home from work to create a card. I knew I wanted to try the Rock n Roll for the SWS challenge. This was a new techniqe to me. I had a completely different card in mind, but this is what I ended up with. I love when that happens. This was a very simple one layer card. I love these hearts from the SP & Company Artsy Heartsy stamp set. This was my first time using them and I can't wait for more opportunities to play with them. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: SP & Company
Ink: Baja Breeze and Night of Navy (Stampin' Up)
Paper: Naturals White (Stampin' Up)

Bonus Color Combo - Summer Online Card Camp Week 4

Each Friday Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner provide additional bonus color combos that you can use to create cards. This is the color combo I selected for the card below.

I love these colors. The card I created is very simple and uses not only scrap patterned paper, but I also used the strap from a cameo I was going to discard as ribbon.

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 2 Card 2

I wanted to post the second card I made for Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Summer Online Card Camp 2011 Week 2 Color Combo Challenge. I posted the color combo in my earlier post. This card wasn't quite coming together the way I had imagined. I stamped the Kaisercraft musical score in different colors on a piece of white cardstock. Then I used the Stampin' Up Medallion in clear embossing powder. I distressed the background with Tim Holtz distress ink. The background paper is from the DCWV Lemon Flower paper stack. I used a scrap piece of white satin ribbon from Stampin' Up and colored it with the new in Color Lucky Limeade. The flower was made using the Stampin' Up Manhattan flower and embossing with white embossing powder. I colored with Smooch spritz. Please let me know if you have any questions.
