10 Minute Craft Dash #25

I am always amazed at the cards I see created for the 10 minute craft dash challenge. You definitely have to have an idea in mind beforehand. Thankfully you can pick out supplies in advance. I always love to try to play along and this time I was able to create my very simple card within the 10 minutes for Craft Dash #25. I love the blue, yellow and brown color combo for this week's challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

With a Touch of Gold

I was inspired to make a third card for this week's Paper Smooches Trend Watch Challenge: flowers. I have posted the inspiration photo below. This time I tried to add a touch of gold using perfect pearls in heirloom gold. The stamps used were: Pretty Mommas, Salutations, and Potpourri.

Krafty Smooches

The card below was inspired by two fabulous Challenges:

This week's Paper Smooches Trend Watch Challenge encourages the use of flowers. I have posted the inspiration photo below. I used the flower stamp from the Pretty Momma's stamp set.

This week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is She's Krafty and She's Just my Type (CFC113). Of course I used kraft as my card base and had fun stamping the flower image on some text paper. The sentiment is also more of a typewriter font. Thanks so much for taking a look!

Hello There Nautical

I absolutely love Laurie Wilson's inspiration card over at the Muse Challenge blog for Muse #33. I was inspired by her card in both design and theme. I changed up the color scheme and used an embossing folder for the anchors rather than a stamped image. Thanks for stopping by!

Please see Laurie's fabulous card below!

Paper Smooches Trend Watch Challenge: Flowers

The following card was inspired by this week's Paper Smooches Trend Watch Challenge. I used the flower stamp from the Pretty Momma's stamp set and the sentiment comes from the Salutations stamp set. Thanks for stopping by!

CFC113: She's Krafty and She's Just My Type

I had fun playing with this week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge 113: She's Krafty and She's Just My Type. I recently found a blue Brother Charger 11 vintage typewriter at a specialty shop, so I had to stamp and emboss the typewriter on a light blue cardstock.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge. Thanks for looking!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Challenge (MFTWSC139)

The following card was inspired by this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge (MFTWSC139). I enjoyed using the baby onesie die from MFT and 7 Gypsies papers. Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Themed Project for SP&Company's Theme Week

There is something new brewing at SP&Company. Samantha and her team are hosting a weekly theme week challenge. This week's theme is Fall and Halloween Week. I was excited to be able to join in this week's challenge. I decided to use up some fall colored scraps in my overflowing scrap drawer for this Thanksgiving card. Love this sentiment from SP&Company.

Thanks for stopping by and looking!

Another Baby Thank You

I had to try to get one more card in based on this week's Freshly Made Sketches #101. (Have I mentioned I love this sketch). I used the baby onsie stamp from WPlus9 and scrap paper from WeRMemoryKeepers.

I'm also entering this card in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches #101: Holiday Style

Another Holiday themed card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #101. I LOVE this sketch. So many possibilities.

The stamp is from Hero Arts and the Recollections Frosty Cabin papers are from my scrap drawer.

Holiday Card Using Hero Arts and Scraps

Happy Labor Day! I'm having fun getting my fingers dirty in my craft room.

I love this week's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Over the holiday weekend I purchased a new stamp set from Hero Arts and couldn't wait to ink it up. The Recollections papers came from my overflowing scrap drawer. The little ornament was made using a 1/2 inch circle punch and a bow stamp from MFT. Thanks so much for stopping by.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Happy Halloween Paper Smooches Style

I recently purchased the Halloweenie stamp set from Paper Smooches. I just love the images in this set. I was inspired by this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge to make the following card. I was too lazy to use my silhouette to cut out the instaframes, so I used a square paper punch and cut cut around it to make the frame.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Halloween Card Based on Retrosketch (Using Scraps and Leftovers)

There's nothing like completing a card just in the nick of time. I absolutely love this week's sketch challenge over at Retrosketches! I just had to play along. With company here this weekend, I finally had a little time to myself this evening and ran down to my craftroom to throw together a card. I had an extra Lawn Fawn Pumpkin colored with distress markers from my last card. From there I went digging through my scrap drawer for fall or halloween papers and Voila...my quick little card!

I am also entering this card in the Anything Goes Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Distress Maniacs and a Dotty Challenge

With the hot and humid weather we are experiencing here in Minnesota, I am ready for a little fall weather! Lawnscaping Challenge #64 encourages us to get our distress on. I decided it was time to get out my distress markers and color up those adorable little Lawn Fawn pumpkins! I also recently purchased this lifestyle crafts polka dot embossing folder, which fits perfectly with this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Dotty.

I first stamped the pumpkin image on watercolor paper. I then colored the pumpkins with my rusty hinge and spiced marmalade distress markers. Then I used a water color brush, and voila! What do you think? Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Sketch Challenge: Back To School Style

Whew! It doesn't feel like it's fall here with the heat we have been experiencing. I feel bad for all the teachers and students who are back in class in this heat without air conditioning. The minute I saw this week's Sketch Challenge over at MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club, I had a card in mind. I added the Back to School theme to play along with Simon Says Stamp's themed challenge this week. Thanks for stopping by.

So Proud of You! Back to School Card

I was so excited to finally sit down this evening and create a card for this week's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, especially since they are celebrating their 100th Challenge!! (Handwashing all of our dishes earlier this evening due to a malfunctioning dishwasher was NOT what I wanted to be doing.) I loved this sketch and decided to add a back to school theme to it to also play along with this week's Simon Says Stamp Back to School Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: Stampin' Up (image), SP&Company (sentiment)
Patterned Paper: Jillibean Soup
Cardstock: MFT (Hot Fudge), Neenah (White)

Shine Brightly: Another card for this week's CAS-ual Friday

Today I received my Verve order and couldn't resist making another card using the fun colors in this week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge: CFC112 aqua, green and orange. Thanks for stopping by!

I created the starry background using a Verve die cut, gluing all the stars on the background. The layout for this card was inspired by a card created by Julee Tilman

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge = PPA168

I had a productive day of cardmaking today, but wanted to get in just one more challenge. I always love to peak at the Pals Paper Arts site for inspiration, but do not always get a chance to play along. I was happy to be able to create a card for this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. I started with a much different card in mind, but the flowers I cut on my silhouette were not working for me. Instead I used MFT die cuts that I had cut out from scraps over the Christmas holiday. I like how the blue looked with the black and cream background. I was also happy to ink up a Hero Arts stamp set that I had not used. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
