LAYTON'S LEGACY CARD DRIVE & FUNDRAISER FOR NICU PARENTS
I am participating in a very special Card Drive and Fundraiser for NICU Parents at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. It is called the Layton's Legacy Card Drive & Fundraiser for NICU Parents. I was touched by Layton's story and a mother's love to honor her son by helping other families during a stressful and difficult time. You can read Lea's personal story about her son Layton here and find out how you can help.

CAS-ual Fridays CFC147 -- Birthday Girl
It's been a while since I have been able to participate in a CAS-ual Fridays challenge and I am so excited to be able to participate in CFC147 - Birthday Girl - make a birthday card that you would send to your sister, friend, mother or other special female in your life.
My card was created by inking up an embossing folder with mint julep ink from Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Sassy Salutations set. I embossed the sentiment using Ranger Princess Gold. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog: Emboss It!
I created the card below for the Emboss It Challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. My background was created by inking up an embossing folder direct from ink pad (Hero Arts Fresh Peach) and then running it through an embossing folder. I think ran a darker ink pad (Hero Arts Pale Tomato) over the raised area created by the embossing folder. So fun and so many possibilities!
I had this Riley and Company stamp laying on my desk and it matched my background, so I fussy cut and added it to my card. The die cut word is from Simon Says Stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS Mix Up May Challenge - Stamping + Heat Embossing + Your Choice
I recently found the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge and I am excited to be participating in May's challenge!
For my CAS card below, I met the challenge by stamping and heat embossing my sentiment with Ranger's Princess Gold embossing powder. My background was created using an embossing folder and a shadow ink from Hero Arts. It was a fun technique and so I am choosing dry embossing as my "your choice" option. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lawnscaping Challenge: Calling All Critters - Entry#1 Mother's Day
I recently purchased the adorable Mom&Me set from Lawn Fawn. I knew this would be perfect for Mother's Day cards this year and had a fun time playing with the stamps and dies. I also love the Perfectly Plaid paper from lawn fawn and had to incorporate it into my cards. I stamped the owl and baby set on watercolor paper and tried my hand at watercoloring using the Prima original watercolor tin.
This image fits perfectly with this week's Lawnscaping Challenge #129 Calling All Critters. Thanks for stopping by!

Kat Scrappiness Sequin Card Challenge Entry #1
Kat Scrappiness is hosting a sequin challenge and giveaway over on her blog! I love sequins, have a small collection, love to see them on other people's cards, but I never seem to add them to my own cards. This challenge was just what I needed to add that extra little "something" to my cards.
The card below was created using a gel print I made. I stamped a heart arts background stamp over the card and then did a little embellishing with some enamel accents. I then added a sentiment made with a simon says stamp die cut. The sequins were then added last, giving that special pop of color. I think they really make the card.

CAS Mix Up April Challenge - Entry #1
This morning I happened upon Ingrid Blackburn's Mixing CAS with Monoprints video on YouTube. I recently purchased a Gelli plate and am addicted! I was inspired by Ingrid's video to make a card for the CAS Mix Up April Challenge! I am just getting this in under the wire!
The card below was created using a stencil from Heidi Swapp. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. Thanks for stopping by!
Edited - After looking back at the challenge, I realized I had not included stamping on my card! Woops! I used one of my gel prints and stamped a Tim Holtz Crazy bird on top to add to the card!
